Sitting at the nexus of the Park Slope and Gowanus neighborhoods, the 4th Avenue corridor is at a tipping point with a host of new development projects underway. From a hodgepodge of warehouses and service areas, springs the potential for a vibrant new urban neighborhood. We are working with multiple developers and community partners on a place-making initiative to forge a singular brand presence that sets the vibe for this emerging area. An iconic symbol and messaging was developed to create stronger sense of the corridor and its creative potential. A series of sequential public art installations and “pop up” community events have been developed to create a sense of whimsy and energy. Guerilla marketing efforts and viral social media outreach has been undertaken to help spread the work and create momentum.
