Bringing an American classic forwardIn anticipation of its 50th anniversary, the Amon Carter Museum embarked on a bold campaign to clarify its vision and value to its audiences in order to expand its reputation as a premier museum of American art.To accomplish this goal, the Fort Worth museum hired Minelli, Inc. to create a strategic communications platform and design a new visual identity. The Carter’s new look includes a distinctive new logotype, a lush, vibrant color palette, and a lock-up for the 50th anniversary tagline. In addition, Minelli recommended that the museum change its name to the Amon Carter Museum of American Art to more accurately build audience expectations.
